Oduduwa University at its peak


 Oduduwa University has been named among the top 50 private varsities in the Africa in the 2021 Times Higher Education (THE) rankings.


On Tuesday, THE released its rankings for the year 2021 wherein Oduduwa University emerged in the 22- 50 band and the best in West Africa, a rating that comes as the institution’s best in comparison to its previous numbers over the years.


Reacting to the feat in a statement, Dr Ramon Adedoyin,chancellor of Oduduwa University, emphasised THE’s criteria of teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.


“The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are the only global performance tables that judge research-intensive universities across all their core missions,” the statement read.


“We acknowledge with thanks the support of the federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Federal Ministry of Education under Mallam Adamu Adamu, and its agencies.


“We trust we can always count on your invaluable assistance and encouragement in the years ahead. Congratulations to all of us in the Oduduwa University Project.”


THE had realised its rankings using 13 “carefully calibrated” performance indicators to provide comparisons, “trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.”


The management team of OUI has comment the effort of Time Higher Education world university Ranking for the right value and dignity placed on OUI.
