 *WHO ARE THE ENEMIES OF ILE IFE?*

They are:-

 (1) Those who forcefully take other peoples farm  lands, properties etc, convert such to theirs without fear of God and with no concern for the poor masses.

(2) The pathological cowards who write and distribute anonymous misinformation without the courage to indicate their names and addresses.

(3)Those shameless hypocrites who see the truth but deliberately refuse to say the truth about Ile ife.

Sequel to a leaflet in circulation by some miscreants,

Maye of the Source of Yorubaland  is neither an enemy of ile ife nor that of the Ooni of Ife. He is a patriot to the core!

The Maye is no longer interested in the throne of Ooni of Ife and should, for the sake of  God or of gods ("Alale") be left alone and completely excused on Chieftaincy matters or  affairs of ile ife for NOW.

It is a factual fact that

the Maye, (Dr.)Abdul Rahaman Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin, is a jinks breaker of rare match. No wonder, he was invited to contest for the position of the Ooni. 

[A] Maye's unmatched patriotism is evident in the location of almost 98% of his investments in the Source: Ile ife. Few of these are:-

(1) The Polytechnic, ile ife, Nigeria.

(2) Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu (OUI) PMB 5533, Ile Ife.

(3) Hilton Hotels (Royal) Ile Ife.

(4) Hilton Hotels (Honours) Ile Ife.

(5) Hilton Hotels (Classics) Ile Ife.

(6)FAMF Bank Ltd, Ile Ife.

(7)Ray Power Guards Ltd, Ile Ife.

(8)OUI International Secondary School , Ile Ife.

(9) OUI Ozonised Water, Ile Ife among others still in ile ife.

His investments outside the walls of Ile Ife include:-

(10) Our Saviors University, USA

(11) Unique Citizens (University) College, Ghana.

(12) Oduduwa Polytechnic, Lagos Nigeria.

(13) Hilton Hotels , Airport, Lagos, Nigeria.

(14) Mayetel Resorts, Lagos.

(15) Our Saviors Tours and Visitors Co. of America, NY, USA,

among others .

[B] Maye is an industrialist who usually brings in his spirit of magnanimity to bear in provision of employment to his people. 

Maye pays over 40 Millions  Naira on Monthly basis to  people on his business empire.

[C]] Maye passionately doles out cash every Friday after his Jumat Services and also gives palliatives, of multifarious kinds, to people in Ile Ife and environs, irrespective of their origin, tribe or geographical affiliation.

[D] Maye has awarded scholarships to so many people including the candidate of the Ooni of Ife,who is still a student of the University  as well as those of other Obas in Yorubaland.

[E] Maye was the highest donor, in Millions of Naira, to the people of ile ife, during the Covid 19 pandemic. Gave 3million naira to ife board.

[F]  Aside provision of several food stuffs which include bags of rice, etc, Maye also sent extra ordinary package of sums of pocket monies ranging between 2,500 Naira to 20,000 Naira, to some indigenes of Ile Ife. This cash disbursement of 10 Million Naira, was, in his own unique magnanimity, aimed at cushioning the effects of the protracted lock down.

[G] Maye has been sponsoring a number of people on holy pilgrimages, to Mecca and Jerusalem, among other special foreign missions.

[H] Maye has and still paying hospital bills of several sick, hospitalized and health challenged individuals.

[I] Maye donated the sum of one Million Naira during an Olojo festival in Ile Ife and has further promised the sum of 10 Million Naira in kind for an  Ile Ife Day Celebrations which has not been accessed while still awaiting the subject of such a wonderful gesture.

[J] Maye is not a Politician and has neither interest in nor intention to join politics now or in the nearest future.He was one of those people who saved ile ife during the Modakeke-ife imbroglio around 1997 1999. Maye once  donated cash of 5m naira to an ife born   contestant for the governorship position. He also did for some others who approached him.

[K] Without being adulatory but stating the truism and the obvious, an erudite Professor of  Obafemi Awolowo University once publicly asserted while posing a challenge:

*"Give me an ife son, dead or alive, who has the records of Dr Adedoyin in ife"*

In the same vein, an Ile Ife based Politician bluntly praised the Maye thesame way the Professor did.

[L]Maye once said LEAVE ME ALONE "Kinihun o Joye, owu Oluwa Oba lo de lade ....Maye"*.

Be that as it may, Maye has not always said that nobody loves ile ife and her people like him. But he has also been manifesting that position in his dealings with the masses of the Source.

Therefore, Maye should be  LEFT ALONE to continue to spread the benevolence and goodness that God, the Almighty, has destined him to spread on earth.

Let us desist from *àńjùwón tí ò seé wí l'éjó, ìjà ìlara tí ò tán bòrò* but pray and endeavour to beat his records for the benefit of the Source !!!

IFEs should love IFEs. 

[M]Maye once said imagine our population in Osun State and tell me the number of GOVERNORS, MINISTERS  and PRESIDENTS ile ife has produced? 

Let us LOVE OURSELVES, LET US LOVE ILE IFE.
